December Reception for Graduates

To celebrate the accomplishments of our December 2010 graduates, you are cordially invited to attend a reception in their honor on Sunday, December 12, 2010, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Emerson Suites of Phillips Hall. This reception will give you an opportunity to interact with our graduates and their families. As part of the reception, a short program will begin at 1:30 p.m. which will include a welcome by President Tom Rochon; some remarks by the President of the Senior Class, Danielle Giserman; an address by Dr. Tanya Saunders, Dean of Interdisciplinary and International Studies, who was chosen by our graduating students; and some concluding remarks by Gretchen Van Valen, Director of Alumni Relations.  Hors d’ouerves will be served. Please RSVP by calling Student Affairs and Campus Life at 274-3374 or e-mail sdsmith@ithaca.edu by Monday, December 6th.

There will be an information session for men's and women's crew on Friday, December 3, at 4:30 pm at #3 Hill Center.  This session is for anyone interested in finding out more about the men's and women's rowing team.  No experience is necessary.  This sport will teach you a new skill, get you into top physical condition, send you out onto Cayuga Lake, and offer an opportunity to travel and compete on a varsity level.

If you can't attend the session listed above, contact a coach at iccrew@ithaca.edu or stop by the crew office, #3 Hill Center, any weekday before winter break.  Call us at 274-1266.  This is an opportunity to get into a life-changing activity.  Opportunity knocks!

If you have ever wanted to record your music or play with beats and loops, this two-week non-credit workshop is for you. At the completion of the workshop (and successful completion of the final exam) workshop participants earn Pro Tools 101 Certification through AVID's Certified Training Program.

Regardless of the type of production, software, or instruments used in making music, anyone working professionally will have to interface their material with Pro Tools. The training this course provides will prepare you to interface and speak on a technical and creative level with professionals across the industry.
