Spring 2011 quesitonnaires have been emailed to all guardians and area coordinators for those departments with computer or printers due to be replaced under the Technology Renewal Program.  The deadline for questionnaire submission is November 15, 2010. This is also the due date for any chargeback forms relating to system changes.

The lights in the Fitness Center will be shut off for the second hour of climbing on Tuesday, November 9th from 10-Midnight- headlamps will be provided by OREC. No climbing experience is necessary!  It's FREE and there is no need to sign up.

The U.S. PIRG information session and interviews have been rescheduled to accommodate a change in the recruiters travel schedule.  The information session will be held on Thursday, November 4 at 7:00 p.m. (Career Services) with interviews to be held on November 5.

ShortLine/Coach USA is offering an express charter bus to the Boston area for Thanksgiving break.

This bus will leave from the parking lot by the Park School at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, November 19, and will return Sunday, November 28, at approximately 8:30 p.m.

The Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday will be celebrated in 2011 during the first week of classes, January 24-29, 2011 (as the Federal holiday falls this year prior to the return of students).

The planning committee is soliciting academic presentations as part of this week of celebration and service.  This year's theme is: Addressing the Fierce Urgency of Now.

Barney Beins presented two invited talks at the annual Northeastern Conference for Teachers of Psychology and another talk at the New England Psychological Association convention in Colchester, Vermont on October 8 and 9.

The invited talks were co-presented with colleagues Ken Keith from the University of San Diego, Regan Gurung from the University of Wisconsin--Green Bay, and Ted Bosack from Providence College.

On Thursday, November 6, at 6:30 p.m., the Handwerker Gallery will be the site of a reading by some of the contributors to ONE FOR THE ROAD: STORIES FOR TEENAGERS WHOSE FAMILIES SUFFER FROM THE DISEASE OF ALCOHOLISM. Co-editor Dr. Katharyn Howd Machan will be joined by Joshua Turk, Mary Kate Murphy, and others to share from their work in this significant anthology published in August by Split Oak Press. May 2011 Graduation

Dear IC students,

It’s time to begin thinking about finalizing all of your plans for next semester to ensure that you graduate on time.  One item you want to take care of before winter break is to apply for your degree.  

Applying for your degree ensures that the Office of the Registrar has you listed for the correct graduation date and knows how you would like your name to appear in the Commencement program and on your diploma.
