If you are interested in teaching an undergraduate course this winter session, please complete the online course proposal form by end of day Friday, October 1st. That's this Friday! To get to the online form, visit our For Faculty page and select the tab for Winter 2011. You'll then see the tab for the online form on the left nav bar.

October 12 -- Faculty notified of selections for winter course roster
October 15 -- Undergraduate winter courses published for student review
November 1 -- Winter 2011 registration begins

Course proposals for summer session are also being accepted. (Select the tab for Summer 2011 on the For Faculty site.) The summer course proposal deadline is November 30th.

"Something is Amiss in Eden:  Recent Work by Susan Weisend" - This exhibition features a series of Weisend's prints, embossments, and artist's books exploring the theme of biodiversity.

AND

“The Zou Ba Portfolio:  Printmakers’ Journey in China” - This collection of images showcases the work of fifteen international artists who journeyed together in China for a month in 2007 and is their response to their incredible adventure.

Both shows will remain on view until October 13.

Students Active For Ending Rape (SAFER) and Health Promotions invites you to a screening of a rape awareness and prevention film, Welcome to the Party, directed and edited by Tom Nicholson, assistant professor of television and radio in the Park School. The screening will take place on Tuesday, October 7, at 7:00 p.m. in Textor 103. There will be a discussion afterward led by an advocate from the Advocacy center.

Ithaca College has authorized the use of locations on campus for the filming of a product launch web video for a Fortune 100 company. Below is a message from the filmmakers.

Definition 6 / Creative Bubble will be shooting a short film for the product release of a very exciting innovation. We wish we could tell you what it was, but that might just ruin the surprise! What we are looking for from you is participation in making this film come to life.

We will be shooting on the Ithaca College campus October 5-7 at various times throughout the day, but usually between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. We have several scenes scheduled for the shoot; each scene requires people from all different walks of life. We're looking for:

  • Professors
  • Students from all majors
  • Athletes
  • Administrative faculty
  • Maintenance facilitators
  • Senior citizens
