Attention all Ithaca College Employees:

Ithaca College is partnering with WestLake Financial Group, Inc. to conduct a Dependent Eligibility Verification Audit of our medical insurance plans. A letter providing more information about the audit and who it applies to will be sent to each Ithaca College employee next week. Please note: this letter is being sent to all employees regardless of enrollment in the College’s medical plans and not all recipients will need to take action.

This is a reminder that if you worked between August 16th and August 29th, you must submit an online timecard in Parnassus to record your hours. Your timecard must be submitted and approved by noon on Tuesday, August 31st in order to receive a paycheck on Friday, September 3rd.

IC Fit Kids is Back!

IC Fit Kids is an interactive program for kids ages 8-16, designed to help promote healthy life style awareness and exercise techniques in order to increase your child’s quality of life. The program is designed for a range of needs from fun physical activity, to weight loss and sports performance. The program will be offered four days a week, which should allow enough flexibility for you and your child’s schedule. Pick two days that work best for you, or bring your child every day!

Where: Ithaca College Wellness Clinic, CHS 302

When: September 20th- December 2nd (no sessions during Thanksgiving break)

Who: Children of Ithaca College employees

Times: Monday - Thursday, 4:30- 6 pm

Price:  $5 per session

Instructional Development Fund (IDF) grants support direct course improvement as well as interdisciplinary projects. Proposals are due in the Office of the Provost by September 15 and November 15 for fall and spring implementation, February 15 for spring and summer implementation, and April 15 for summer and fall implementation. Guidelines and application forms may be found at https://www.ithaca.edu/provost/docs/internalgrants.

In February 2004, the mayor of San Francisco ordered city officials to allow lesbian and gay couples to get married. Pioneering activists Del Martin and Phyllis Lyon, celebrating their 51st anniversary, had the privilege of being the first couple to tie the knot.

All IC faculty are invited to submit winter session undergraduate course proposals. Winter Session falls this year January 10 – 21, 2011.

 

Course proposal deadline: October 1. 

Review the guidelines and access the online proposal form through the study programs For Faculty site (login using you IC email userid and password), and follow the tab for Winter Session.

Faculty considering undergraduate courses in an online format are particularly encouraged to apply.

The Student Leadership Institute (SLI) is a series of free, interactive workshops designed to help students develop and refine personal leadership skills. As an Ithaca College student, you may choose to attend any session that interests you, or take part in a series of six sessions to earn an SLI certificate. Certificates recognize students who invest time and energy into developing their leadership knowledge and skills.
