Students from the Park School's Ad Lab Class will present their advertising campaign Tuesday, April 27 at 12:10 p.m. in the Park Hall Auditorium.

Each year students in the senior capstone course spend a semester researching and developing a campaign for American Advertising Federation's (AAF) National Student Advertising Competition contest. This year's client is State Farm, and the campaign objective is to increase brand awareness in the young adult market.

The Ad Lab team will travel to New York City April 30-May 1 to compete in AAF's regional competition. The winners of the regional competition will travel to the national competition in June.

Christianne Enos ’11 was one of 20 students nationwide chosen for a 2010 Vance L. Stickell Memorial Student Internship through the American Advertising Federation (AAF).

The Vance L. Stickell Memorial Student Internship Program was established in 1989 in honor of Vance L. Stickell, former executive vice president of marketing for the Los Angeles Times and a member of the Advertising Hall of Fame.

Enos, an integrated marketing communications major, will intern at IBM in the Brand Expression and Global Advertising Department.

Citizenship Across the Curriculum advocates the teaching of civic engagement at the college level, in a wide range of disciplines and courses. Using "writing across the curriculum" programs as a model, the contributors propose a similar approach to civic education. In case studies drawn from political science and history as well as mathematics, the natural sciences, rhetoric, and communication studies, the contributors provide models for incorporating civic learning and evaluating pedagogical effectiveness. By encouraging faculty to gather evidence and reflect on their teaching practice and their students’ learning, this volume contributes to the growing field of the scholarship of teaching and learning.
