A pilot program in a series staring next season, members of the School of Music faculty will team up for a free concert on Sunday, March 28 at 4pm in the Hockett Family Recital Hall. Performing on this concert will be the Sheherazade Trio, violinist Nicholas DiEugenio, and jazz pianist John Stetch. The trio will present a Brahms piano trio, DiEugenio will play Steve Reich's "Violin Phase" for solo violin and sound engineer, and Stetch will offer some of his own music along with that of Thelonius Monk. The seminar will focus on the interconnectedness of image, music and sound in the filmmaking process. Observe how a picture editor cuts for the sound editor, how the sound editor designs with the composer in mind and how ultimately they are all working to bring the director’s vision to the screen.
