Think you can dance? (Or wish you could dance?) Please join us and fellow IC students for our first fundraiser of the semester-Ballroom Dancing-on **Friday March 26th in the upper atrium of the School of Business from 6:00PM-8:30PM. With the help of skilled instructors we will learn how to do the Tango, Rumba, and Waltz. Lessons will take place for the first hour and a half (half hour of lesson per each dance) and for the last half hour we can socialize and use our new moves! Tickets will be sold on the first floor of the business school-it is $3 for Women in Business members, $4 for all others in advance, and $5 at the door. Tickets are available now through March 26th. Ms. FRIDA BERRIGAN, peace activist, expert on nuclear, arms trade and human rights issues, will speak at IC campus WEDNESDAY MARCH 31, 4:00-5:30pm, WILLIAMS 225. Her talk will center on the inherent dangers of nuclear fuel cycle on the health, environment and economies of all peoples, and in particular the historical impact of uranium mining and nuclear waste dumps on native communities, who bear a disproportionate burden of risk from the nuclear fuel cycle. The event is part of a 700-mile Walk for a Nuclear-Free Future from Western NY to New York City to call attention to the 2010 Non-Proliferation Treaty Review Conference at UN in May 2010.
