Spend your summer in Italy!

Spend three weeks this summer in Siena, a beautiful medieval hill town in the heart of Tuscany.  Italy: Language & Culture is a three-week, three-credit course which combines conversational Italian practice wtih a cultural tour of Siena and other historically important Italian cities.  The program runs from May 25-June 16, 2010.

Ash Wednesday

The Season of Lent begins February 17, 2010.  Catholic Mass, with the distribution of ashes, will be celebrated on Ash Wednesday, Feb. 17, at 9 am, 12:10 and 5:30 pm in Muller Chapel.  Lent is the time to review our past, recognize our faults and failures, admit our guilt, and reform our lives—a time of prayer, self-denial, penitence and almsgiving.  Let us begin this holy season together on Ash Wednesday, Feb. 17.

OPEN TO ALL MAJORS

For the fifth year, Ithaca College Professor Changhee Chun will teach Cross-Cultural Documentary Research & Production and East-West Cinema: Different Production Approaches at Hanyang University in Seoul, South Korea. Also, Professor Elena C. Pizarro will join us to teach Writing for Motion Media class.

The courses will be taught in collaboration with the Hanyang International Summer School (HISS). Ithaca College students will take theses courses with Hanyang University students and other students from around the world in order to maximize cultural exchange.

Writer, editor, and Emmy Award-winning producer Eric Maierson, ’90, will be screening his recent works on Tuesday, February 23 at 7 pm in Park Auditorium. There will be a Q&A session directly following.

Maierson, a graduate of the Park School of Communications, has 10 years of experience writing and producing for television.
