Cacioppo and Steve Hondorf, both health and physical education majors, have been named recipients of the Major of the Year Award by NASPE (National Association for Sport and Physical Education). The criteria for selection is good academic standing and service to the college and/or community. According to Dr. Raj Subramaniam, Department of Health Promotion and Physical Education, "It is truly an honor for Ithaca College to have our students recognized at the national level." The award presentation will take place at the NASPE Convention in Indianapolis on March 18, 2010.
