Student supervisors: do you have students who are 21 years and older and need to drive College-owned or leased vehicles on behalf of your department? Pass along the following information to your student drivers.

Please be sure to review the student driver handbook yourself so you are aware of what rules the students need to follow. Any procedure not followed could mean suspension of driving privileges for your student drivers.

Students who need to drive College-owned and leased/rented vehicles are required to take a free, two-hour driver safety class, which will be conducted on campus by the College’s insurance company on the dates listed below for the fall semester. This policy is strongly recommended by the insurance company in the interest of student safety and sound risk management.

Ithaca College will be holding one last orientation session for new, incoming students on Thursday, August 20, which precludes allowing other students to have access on that day.

Therefore, the registration system in HomerConnect will be unavailable to other students from Wednesday, August 19, at 11:59 p.m. through Thursday, August 20, at 11:59 p.m. and resume on August 21 at 12:01 a.m. through September 1.

Please join us in wishing Bernie Rhoades happiness in retirement and a hearty farewell after 17 years with Information Technology Services at Ithaca College. We would like to invite any and all members of the campus community who have worked with or know Bernie to join us in a celebration on August 21, 2009 from 2:00pm – 4:00pm in the Klingenstein Lounge.

Bernie first served Director of Technical Services in the then Office of Information Technology and then in his current position as Director, Network and Communication Services within Information Technology Services. His retirement is effective August 31, 2009.
