Speech communication major Nicole Lewis '09 will present a paper she coauthored with her adviser, Danette Johnson, at the annual meeting of the Eastern Communication Association (ECA). The paper was identified as one the top three papers submitted for blind review to the "interpersonal communication" division.

The Ithaca College Choir, under the direction of Lawrence Doebler, will present its annual concert on Saturday, March 21, at 8:15 p.m. in Ford Hall in the James J. Whalen Center for Music.

Free and open to the public, the concert theme is "It's About Time." Music expressing the beginning of human time, time for justice, time for love, and time and fate will be presented, by composers Morten Lauridsen, John Corigliano, Behzad Ranjbaran, and others. Selections from Carl Orff's Carmina Burana and traditional spirituals will be included.

The Tarab Cello Ensemble, eight cellists dedicated to the performance of new music for cello choir, will give a free concert at Ithaca College on Friday, March 20, at 8:15 pm in Ford Hall.

They will be joined by Ithaca College faculty cellist Elizabeth Simkin. With one exception from 1996, their entire program will consist of music composed in the 21st century.

Ithaca College School of Music alumnus Keir Neuringer '99 will return to his alma mater to give a free concert of his compositions on Wednesday, March 18, at 7:00 p.m. in Ford Hall in the James J. Whalen Center for Music.

A saxophonist, Neuringer will perform his own compositions along with musicians which include other IC alumni: Ryan Zawel, MM '05, trombone; Michael Stark, piano; Brian Dozoretz '94, bass; Josh Oxford '07, percussion; Zaun Marshburn, percussion; and Steve Reichlin '00, percussion.
