Adrift, a short film by Cathy Lee Crane, assistant professor in the Deptartment of Cinema, Photography, and Media Arts, will premiere at the 31st annual Big Muddy Film Festival on February 22. The festival is sponsored by the film program at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale.

The film will also screen at Cornell Cinema on February 25 and 27 as part of the Water World series, opening for the documentary Touched by Water.

Jafeth Gómez Ledesma began his life as an artist working in adult literacy education in his community in Cauca, Colombia. He used art not only to promote literacy but to develop political awareness, social consciousness and cultural pride. His art has evolved over the years, but continues to celebrate the lives, cultures, and political struggle of the people of Cauca.

Gómez will give a public talk in Textor 103 on Thursday, February 26, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.

The Foundation for Long Term Care (FLTC) is offering workshops in Rochester (March 31) and Syracuse (April 14) on the topic, "Intergenerational Service Learning in Higher Education." There is no fee for these workshops, which are targeted to faculty and community agencies.

The Center for Student Leadership and Involvement (CSLI) seeks proposal submissions that represent contemporary thinking about leadership from faculty and staff at Ithaca College who share an interest in educating emerging leaders.

All sessions will be 50 minutes in length and will run 10:00-10:50 a.m. or 11:00-11:50 a.m. on Saturday, April 11, during CSLI's "Business of Leadership" conference.
