Midterm Grades

Midterm grade submission will open for faculty on Monday, October 13. The deadline for submission is Tuesday, October 21, at 10:00 a.m. for midterm grades and final grades for Block I courses.

Introducing the myHome Blog

If you haven't noticed already, there's something different about your "Home" tab in myHome at Ithaca: the "Feedback" portlet is now "The myHome Portlet". In addition to letting you send in your comments and suggestions, the revised portlet provides easy access to the new myHome Blog. The myHome Blog is the place to read and discuss the latest myHome updates, its portlets, and some sneak peaks at soon-to-be-released features. Keep your eye on that space for up to date myHome news.

With soloists Elizabeth and Alex Shuhan on flute and French horn, the Ithaca College Wind Ensemble will present a free concert on Tuesday, October 14, at 8:15 p.m. in Ford Hall. Stephen Peterson will conduct Holst's second suite for band, "A Summer's Journey" by Elliott Schwartz, Hindemith's "Symphonic Metamorphosis," and "All the Bells and Whistles" by Jeffery Hass.

Schwartz is the current Karel Husa Visiting Professor of Composition and his visit is part of the Enduring Masters series.

Matt Cavenaugh '01 will participate in a Q&A session about his life as a Broadway performer as well as sing musical numbers from his recent productions. The visit is scheduled for Friday, October 10, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m., and will be held at Presser Hall in the School of Music. The event is free and open to members of the Ithaca College community.

Public Safety Alert

The Office of Public Safety is investigating a burglary that occurred in Emerson Hall on October 8, 2008. According to the complainants, someone entered their residence hall room between 6:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. on that date and removed cash and other items. There was no sign of forced entry.
