At the August 21 all-College staff meeting, President Tom Rochon identified a challenge for all staff to sit down with their supervisors to have a goal-setting conversation by October 31, 2008. The purpose of this goal-setting conversation is to decide what each employee and department's key accomplishments should be in the coming year.

CPR/AED Class Offered

The Ithaca College AED Committee and the Tompkins County American Red Cross are offering a daytime CPR/AED class. With over 20 AED locations on campus, there are a lot of people interested in taking a CPR/AED class and we encourage people to take advantage of it.

On Friday, September 26, at 4:00 p.m. in Park Auditorium, Park Productions will screen a new documentary about a controversial and important topic. It is an intolerable fact that some children are abused; yet, false allegations of abuse have lead to tragic miscarriages of justice. One scientist has spent his career trying to answer the question many people wish he wouldn't ask: should we believe the kids?

At Cornell University, renowned psychologist Stephen Ceci studies the accuracy of children's courtroom testimony, particularly in cases alleging physical abuse, sexual abuse, and neglect. Truth and Consequence is a 37-minute documentary short that focuses on Professor Ceci's research and three court cases in which he testified as an expert witness.
