Challenging times require our engagement in difficult dialogues about topics many of us may prefer to avoid. The increasing elusiveness of ‘truth’ makes the responsibility of engagement a greater challenge. Nevertheless, open discussions are essential to the never-ending pursuit of freedom and justice for All. To facilitate our conversation about a difficult truth, The Very Reverend Dr. Kelly Brown Douglas will speak on the Ithaca College campus on Thursday, September 26th beginning at 7:00 pm in the Emerson Suites. For the inaugural ITHACA MUSIC FORUM of the year, Dr. Kate Storhoff will present, "Gender and American Wind Ensemble Community: Challenging the Culture." The talk will be about recent progress made toward diversifying the historically male American band and wind ensemble community.
