Professor of politics Tom Shevory presented a paper, "The Most Polluted Lake in America: Toward a Political Archeology," at the annual meeting of the American Political Association in Boston on August 27.

World Suicide Prevention Day is Wednesday, September 10, 2008.

Carlo Trois and his wife, Gwen, lost their only child, Kevin, to suicide. Carlo's presentation, "The Call We Never Got," at 7:00 p.m. that night in Textor 101, addresses the experience of losing a loved one to suicide and the importance of suicide prevention.
