Karryn Olson-Ramanujan, from the Finger Lakes Permaculture Institute, will speak at the environmental studies program's popular Environmental Seminar on Monday, September 8, at 4:00 p.m. in CNS 119. All are welcome to attend the free seminar to learn more about this system for sustainable design of human culture that focuses on both ecological mindfulness and the provision of basic human needs in an environmentally sustainable way.

Faculty and staff who may have reason to drive College-owned or -rented vehicles must arrange to have their driving record checked once every two academic years (not calendar years) and be at least 21 years of age. (However, students must submit a form once every 12 months.)

Departments employing student drivers must be sure that students are 21 years of age, have submitted the Driver Information Form for approval, and registered to take the mandatory two-hour driver safety class prior to allowing them to drive.

Laurie A. Linn, president of Ithaca-area design firm Communiqué, will be guest speaker on Tuesday, September 9, at 7:30 p.m. in Park Auditorium. The event is sponsored by IABC/IC and is open to the public.
