Stephen Tropiano, associate professor of television-radio and director of the Ithaca College Los Angeles Program, has been awarded first prize in the 2007 University Film and Video Association National Paper Prize Competition.

His essay, entitled "Playing It Straight: Reality Dating Shows and the Construction of Heterosexuality," examines the construction of homosexuality in reality television programming.

This summer, significant technical renovations have been underway in Clark Theatre and Hoerner Theatre. Unforeseen circumstances and equipment delivery delays have made it impossible for the work crews to complete the renovations on time -- so we will be swapping the dates of Metamorphoses and The Exonerated. Metamorphoses will now play December 2-13 and The Exonerated will kick off our season on October 7 and play through October 12.
