Writing Workshop -- October 27

On Saturday, October 27, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., associate professor Katharyn Howd Machan of the Department of Writing will offer a workshop, "Writing Life Stories," at the Community School of Music and Arts, 330 E. State Street.

At the recent Faculty/Staff Campaign event, Christine Davie '04, a longtime employee in Information Technology Services, shared some of the many opportunities that have come her way thanks to her position at Ithaca College. Highlights include receiving a J.J. Staff Scholar Award, earning an Ithaca College degree, and watching three of her children also complete IC degrees.

The Ithaca College Bookstore Faculty/Staff Limited Licensing and Media program for Adobe Contractual Licensing Program (CLP) software products provides a significant price reduction to Ithaca College faculty and staff. This software is for personal use and faculty/staff may not resell or distribute the product.

The majority of the CLP eligible products are in the Adobe Creative Suite 3 product line, but not limited to that line. For example, also available are Adobe Photoshop Lightroom and Adobe Acrobat 8.0 Professional.

Ithaca College will host Now is the Winter, a symposium that will bring together a discrete group of scholars, artists, and curators from the United States and Russia for two days of papers, screenings, an exhibition, and discussions October 25-27.

Participants will include U.S. scholars and artists with a sustained interest in Russian media and culture, as well as Russian participants looking actively at the United States and global movements within these areas. The symposium is linked to an international exhibition, Now Is The Winter, that was on display in Moscow in May and June 2007.
