Ithaca College

PreVues 7, a student video and film showcase, will premiere at Cinemapolis on Wednesday, September 19, at 7:00 p.m., followed by a reception at Juna's Cafe. The screening is free and open to the public.

PreVues highlights the best student work from the 2005-2006 academic year. Of the hundreds of films and videos produced by students at the Park School, these nine selections were chosen to be screened at this annual event.

Billy Taylor -- named by Vogue as "the most exciting pianist in the jazz world today and its most articulate spokesman" -- will inaugurate Ithaca College's Enduring Masters series with a free appearance on Saturday, September 15. Featuring a performance and a lecture, "An Evening with Billy Taylor," will start at 8:15 p.m. in Ford Hall in the James J. Whalen Center for Music. Taylor will also coach various student ensembles on September 14.

The Ithaca College Wind Ensemble, conducted by Stephen Peterson, will continue the annual Friends of Ithaca College September tradition of the Founder's Day Concert in the Park with a free, open-air performance on Sunday, September 16. The concert will begin at 2:00 p.m. in DeWitt Park in downtown Ithaca, with a rain location at Ford Hall in the James J. Whalen Center for Music.
