On campus AA meeting

There is a new Thursday noontime A.A.meeting on campus that spreads the hope of recovery, and supports those who are struggling with sobriety.

Alcoholics Anonymous is a voluntary fellowship of men and women of all ages who meet together to attain and maintain sobriety. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking.

The African Diaspora[1] minor is one of four minors that the Center for the Study of Culture, Race, and Ethnicity was mandated to develop through a curricular focus on traditionally marginalized, under-represented, or misrepresented groups in the U.S. The point of such a focus is to prepare students to meet the increasingly complex demands of living in a multi-racial, multi-ethnic, and poly-cultural world.

Soprano Carol McAmis, a professor of voice at the Ithaca College School of Music, will present a free recital on Sunday, February 11 at 4pm in the Hockett Family Recital Hall. Pianist Diane Birr will collaborate on the program, which includes the “Hermit Songs” composed by Samuel Barber, “Twelve Poems of Emily Dickenson,” by Aaron Copland, and music by Hildegard von Bingen and Ralph Vaughan Williams.
