    If you are a Senior, Junior, Business or Park student, you can run for a Senator position with the Student Government Association. All you have to do is fill out an Intent to Run form and submit it to us through the Student Activities Center (SAC) or to sga@ithaca.edu. Forms are available at the SAC and on our website at www.ithaca.edu/sga, and are due this Friday, December 2nd.

    On Thursday, December 1, the theater group On the Verge will present a reading of Arcadia in the Handwerker Gallery from 7:00 - 9:00 pm. Written by Tom Stoppard and directed by Claire Gleitman, the play is set at Sidley Park in Derbyshire, England during the early nineteenth century and the present day. Arcadia explores the themes of emotion versus intellect, the mystery of sex and the path of knowledge. This event is free and open to the public.     In continued response to the devastation of Hurricane Katrina, Ithaca College's Community Service Committee and the local American Red Cross Chapter are working together to offer the Disaster Response Course training here on campus in the beginning of January for staff and faculty. This specialized training is for those that would like to volunteer during the rebuilding efforts that continue after Hurricane Katrina and also for any future response to a disaster in this community and elsewhere.

    On Thursday, December 1st, at 7:00 p.m. in the Handwerker Gallery, the "On the Verge" reading series will present a staged reading of Tom Stoppard's Arcadia, featuring performances by Ithaca College students and faculty members (including Jim Swafford, Michael Twomey and Krista Scott) and directed by English department faculty member Claire Gleitman.

A group of three students from the "Projects in Sustainability" class have been working with Greg Pitts from EcoVillage at Ithaca to design and install this and other solar applications on campus.
