Immersion Semester Program 2020

Come support the Softball team this Saturday (4/13) and the Golf team this Sunday (4/14), as they dedicate their events to Ithaca College Unites for HER, an organization that works to raise money to provide complementary services to those diagnosed with breast cancer in the Ithaca College community! The softball games will begin at 1pm and 4pm on 4/13 at the Kostrinsky Field, and golf will take place on 4/13 (time TBA) at the Country Club of Ithaca. Please wear pink to show your support.

 From April 15 - May 10, 2019 there will be variety of events on the Ithaca College campus with the theme of "mindfulness". All are welcome! Connect with nature during a guided woods walk, learn Qigong by the Muller Chapel pond, stretch your mind and body with a guided climb at the IC climbing wall. There are also guided meditation sessions, film screenings and other activities to help you relax, get centered, and cultivate calmness as the semester comes to an end.

The ICC Program Review Committee has finalized its report after receiving feedback on the draft recommendations from the campus community.  I would like to take this opportunity to thank the members and co-chairs of the ICC Program Review for their thorough and thoughtful work over the past year as they gathered information about the current state of the ICC and developed recommendations for how we might move forward with the program.  Their work over the past nine months has relied on engaging the campus community in multiple ways, including;

 The Office of the President will be hosting next week's Diversity & Inclusion Discussion from Noon - 1:00 p.m. in the Klingenstein Lounge on Monday, April 15. 

The discussion will be led by Judith Pena-Shaff, and Roger "Doc" Richardson. 

The title: Diversity, Inclusion, and Creating Community: What does this mean for us at Ithaca College?

Summary: During this hour we will explore significant trends that are reshaping the 21st century college campus, the implications of these changes for us at Ithaca College, and how we build capacity for diversity the same way we built capacity for technology. We will end with a discussion on our responsibility in creating community.
