In follow-up to the campus-wide survey that was distributed this week, there will be an open forum on Monday, March 4, 2019 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the Klingenstein Lounge, Campus Center.

What is 3 Day Startup? (3daystartup.org)

3DS is an opportunity to teach students how to start companies through self directed learning. Over the 3 day event, 45-50 participants will be selected to come up with ideas and form teams to develop their own startup company. Throughout the process, mentors will be able to help guide the team’s progress and help them create a polished final pitch to panelists. For 9 years, over 350 programs at over 150 schools have been launched to create a network of over 12,000 3DS alumni.

Ithaca College has had a very successful partnership with Longview, a retirement community located on Danby Road, for 20 years. Part of this relationship involves an ongoing Faculty & Staff Lecture Series at Longview. Speakers are needed for the Spring Semester!

 Presentations are held in the Longview auditorium. They are informal and can be on a wide range of topics, including academics, the arts, and current events.

Ithaca College has had a programmatic partnership with Longview – An Ithacare Community for the past 20 years.  Longview is a retirement community located on Danby Road not far from campus.  It is run by the Ithacare Center Service Company, Inc.  As part of the partnership between Ithaca College and Longview, a student board member position was created for the Ithacare Board a number of years ago.  This was created to provide a student with an educational and leadership opportunity and to encourage student input into aspects of the Board function that touch on the IC/LV Partnership.  There will be an opening for a student member for the academic year 2019-2020.

The Division of College Communications has been working for the past year to select and implement a new digital asset management (DAM) system for the college. The new system will dramatically improve the division’s ability to upload, organize, manage, and share assets such as photography and videography. This system is crucial in ensuring that all college-owned digital assets are readily available and easily accessible when they are needed.
