Take a trip this spring with Alternative Spring Break! OSE is looking for one IC student who will be 21 years of age before March 10, 2019, and has two years of driving experience to help drive Ithaca College vans for a trip to the upper Outer Banks region of North Carolina during spring break! Students will be volunteering with the North Carolina Coastal Federation, which utilizes a variety of programs to protect the North Carolina Coast from habitat loss. In addition to traveling and making a difference, you will get a significant reduction in your trip fee!

Provost Dr. La Jerne Cornish will read the book "I Am Jazz" - the story of a transgender child based upon the real life experiences of Jazz Jennings - in Clark Lounge, Campus Center on Thursday February 28 at 2 pm. A discussion of the children's book and other new titles including "Julián Is a Mermaid" and "They She He Me: Free to Be!" will follow, facilitated by LGBT Center director Luca Maurer. Refreshments will be provided.

The Food Pantry is Open

The Food Insecurity Committee is pleased to announce that the on-campus Food Pantry will be open for business on Thursday, February 21 from 12:10 - 1:00 pm.  

We anticipate being open at least one hour each week for now so watch intercom weekly for updated dates and times.

Dear Campus Community,

We are pleased to share with you the following summary of last week’s board of trustees meetings, held Wednesday, February 13, through Friday, February 15, in Ithaca. The full board regularly meets three times each academic year—in October, February, and May. These intensive meetings offer an opportunity for our board not only to come together and do deep work around the business of this institution, but also to connect trustees with the IC experience and with the many topics, initiatives, and moments that define us as a college community.

Congratulations to the current and former members of the faculty who have been recognized by the Ithaca College Board of Trustees. At its February meetings, the board granted emeritus status to 11 former faculty members and awarded promotions and tenure to 14 current faculty members.
