As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen emergency preparedness and response, Ithaca College will hold a shelter-in-place drill on the morning of Thursday, Jan. 10, in the Campus Center, Gannett Center and Fitness Center. Those buildings will be completely closed to the public during the drill, but the rest of the campus will not be affected.

In October 2018, the Board of Trustees approved changing the College's fiscal year from the current June 1st - May 31st to July 1st - June 30th.  This will go into effect in 2019.  This means that fiscal year 2019 will end on June 30, 2019 and fiscal year 2020 will begin on July 1, 2019.

The Office of Human Resources is in the process of implementing the College’s new Oracle HCM (Human Capital Management) system. To facilitate this implementation, members of the HR team will be conducting process redesign and system testing between 12:00 pm and 5:00 pm on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, January 8th, 9th and 10th.  As a result, HR team members will have very limited availability during those times.

Why Use Learning Reflective Journals as a Tool for Teaching? 

There are several goals for Learning Reflective Journals (LRJ):  to encourage students to write more outside the classroom, and to get students to think more consciously about what happens, or should occur inside the classroom (E.g., the levels and types of class discussions and debates) by bringing their private thoughts to the public classroom setting.

The South Central Regional Library Council (SCRLC) has awarded a $2680 Technology and Digitization Grant to the Ithaca College Library to digitize 54 volumes of the Cayugan (the Ithaca College yearbook) from 1913-2005, as well as 153 issues of the Ithacan, the Ithaca College newspaper.
