(106 words) Ithaca College and Sodexo/Ithaca Dining Services named Community Partner of the YearContributed by Rebecca Sexton on 05/13/18 On May 8th, 2018 Challenge Workforce Solutions hosted its Annual Awards Event at the Hangar Theatre in Ithaca, NY. 300 people attended, celebrating Challenge’s 50 years of achieving and believing! At the event, Ithaca College and Sodexo/Ithaca Dining Services were presented with the “Community Partner of the Year” award. Sodexo/Ithaca Dining Services has contracted with Challenge Workforce Solutions since the mid-1980's, and currently employs approximately 80 Challenge staff. Challenge staff work in various areas to support dining operations. Jeff Scott, Director of Sodexo/Ithaca Dining Services stated: "We value the amazing partnership we have with Challenge and all the great work they do for us every day. We're pleased to have had the privilege of supporting many personal success stories over the years." (211 words) UPDATE: Warning About A Potentially Rabid Fox on Ithaca College CampusContributed by David Maley on 05/11/18 Members of the Ithaca College community are urged to be aware of their surroundings and take precautions around wildlife on campus, after a person was bitten by a fox in the parking lot next to Emerson Hall (Z lot) around noon on Friday, May 11. The victim sought treatment at a local hospital. The Office of Public Safety searched the area but was unable to locate the fox. The college has notified the Tompkins County Health Department about the incident. Read more . . .
