Ithaca College has named an accomplished administrator with over 25 years of leadership and management experience in both the public and private sectors as its new executive director for government and community relations. Paula Younger, who has served since 2006 as deputy county administrator for Tompkins County, was appointed after a thorough search process. She will begin her new position at IC on Jan. 15, 2018.

Her article, “Applications of Dendrochronology in Northwestern Mexico,” presents the first application of dendroarchaeology in Mesoamerica.  The research uses prehispanic tree-ring data to demonstrate the potential of this method as a tool to control time and reconstruct past climate.

The Friends 110 computer lab will close for the break at 11:00 pm on Friday, December 22nd. Due to renovations, there will be limited use of the facility on Thursday, December 21st and Friday, December 22nd. Printing will be available via the WebPrint Release Station, but color printing will be unavailable on these two days.

The lab will open again on Wednesday, January 3rd at 8:00am and printing will be available via the WebPrint Release Station during the hours listed below.

fix IT shop Winter Break Hours

The fix IT shop will be open for business Tuesday, December 19th thru Friday, December 22nd from 8:00am to 5:00pm. 

We will close for Winter Break beginning Saturday, December 23rd thru Tuesday, January 2nd.

From January 3rd thru January 18th, the fix IT shop will be open weekdays from 8:00am to 5:00pm 

We will return to normal business hours beginning Friday, January 19th at 8:00am.

VoiceThread is an asynchronous, highly interactive tool that allows you and your students to engage with a wide variety of media. Ithaca College has purchased the tool; you and your students can use it at no charge.  

To learn more about the tool participate in anasynchronous VoiceThread workshop moderated by colleagues from IC’s Information Technology and the Center for Faculty Excellence. During a designated period of time, VoiceThread modules/activities will be available to you online and completed by you on your own time.
