Dana Professors. The Dana Professorship recognizes exceptional faculty who have attained the rank of full professor and who have made significant contributions in teaching, scholarship, and service. Dr. Hardwick joined Ithaca College in 1997 and earned her Ph.D. from the University of Vermont. Her scholarship and student mentoring centers on research of the cardiac nervous system and heart disease Dr. Hardwick was recently awarded a 3-year research grant from the National Institutes of Health to examine the changes induced by chronic heart disease in an animal model of myocardial infarction ( “heart attack”).
