Nanda moderated the session: “How to Thrive and Finish Your Program – A “When Faculty Say X” at this year's PROMISE SSI (PROMISE Summer Success Institute). In this session, professors from across the country, members of the Alfred B. Sloan Mentoring Network Advisory Board, answered all of the questions that students never asked their faculty, and are too nervous to ask their advisor. Between them, they have experience as deans, department chairs, center directors, and PIs of grants from NSF, NIH, and the U.S. Department of Education.

Friends, food, fun - kick off the new academic year at the LGBTQA+ and Allies Fall Welcome for Students on Tuesday August 29 at 7 pm in the Clark Lounge, Campus Center.

As new students and their families arrive this weekend to move in, we would like to ensure a positive and welcoming start at Ithaca College for these members of our community.  To enable them to park as close as possible to their residence hall and ease their unloading and moving process, several lots will be reserved to keep spaces available for these new arrivals.  Staff, faculty, and students already on campus are asked to be aware of these closures as described below, and to have their vehicles removed from these lots by Saturday evening.

The Office of Public Safety and Emergency Management is excited to welcome a new member to our Ithaca College team, Security Officer Dan Merchant!  Dan joins us after serving as a Security Guard for three years at Borg Warner.  He has also previously worked with Cornell University and the Town of Ithaca.  Throughout the search process, Dan impressed with his emphasis on customer service, being a good teammate, and demonstrating strong work ethic.  We are looking forward to his work with the Ithaca College community and relationship-building with our staff, students, and faculty!
