Wonyul Bae, associate professor in the Department of Sport Management, recently published an article entitled 'English proficiency matters': ESL learning as a vocational behavior among former Korean college student-athletes on dropping out of athletic programs in the International Studies in Sociology of Education.

The Academic Advising Center is hosting ICC Portfolio Working Sessions weekly throughout the spring semester.  Drop in on the following dates in April between 1:00-3:00 p.m. for assistance:

All sessions are held in the Academic Advising Center conference room--124 Rothschild Place.  Feel free to stay 10 minutes or the entire two hours.  Be sure to bring your laptop!

Daily Health Screening

Understanding the Purpose of the Daily Health Screening

To comply with New York State guidelines, all faculty, staff, and students must complete an electronic health screening every day. The screening will ask questions regarding exposure to COVID-19-positive individuals and whether any COVID-19 symptoms are present. Based on the response to these questions, individuals will receive a prompt that indicates they are cleared to access campus or are not cleared to access campus and should consult with a medical professional. The college is not collecting or storing specific medical information as part of the screen.

 "At the Veterans Hospital," a sonnet written by Writing professor Katharyn Howd Machan, received Honorable Mention in the Littoral Press Poetry Broadside Competition. The poem arose from her years of performing belly dance each autumn in Syracuse for damaged soldiers as part of an event provided by Ithaca's Veterans of Foreign Wars chapter.

COVID-19 Testing 
Weekly COVID-19 testing is required for all employees regularly accessing campus. Our next on-campus testing dates are Friday, September 4 from 8:00 am – 2:00 pm and Saturday, September 5 from 9:00 – 10:00 am at the A&E Center. All employees regularly accessing campus must register to test.

Even though we won't be together on campus this semester, study abroad advisors are available now and throughout the semester to help you plan for a future study abroad experience.
