It should come to no surprise to many who are familiar with the schedule that Challah for Hunger will be selling challah in Campus Center Fridays from 10 am until they run out. Flavors include Original, Chocolate Chip, Cinnamon Sugar, Rosemary Salt, and some surprise ones! They come in all shapes and sizes, but the important part is this: $1 for a mini, $3 for a regular, and $5 for a large braid (perfect for french toast).

Students from the Study Abroad in Cuba program will present on their experiences as part of the "Arts and Culture in Cuba" course. 21 students travelled to Cuba with professors Lindsay Gilmour (Theatre Arts), Arturo Sinclair (Park) and Enrique González-Conty (Modern Languages) to learn more about this Caribbean island. The presentation will take place on Friday April 21st from 4-5pm in Studio 6 of Job Hall (near the ramp toward Dillingham).

This summer all labs, e-classroom podium machines, and conference rooms will be upgraded to Windows 10 (the latest operating system from Microsoft). Teaching and Learning with Technology (TLT) will provide multiple faculty development opportunities prior to classroom use in the fall. TLT will offer webinars that provide an overview as well as drop-in sessions in Williams 210.

Chris Sperry, the director of curriculum and staff development for Project Look Sharp, will be holding an interactive workshop at Wells College’s Sustainability Perspectives series. He will utilize some of Project Look Sharps many media literacy lesson plans on sustainability and climate change to demonstrate the dynamic learning activities for grades elementary through college. The workshop will be focused on teaching critical thinking and media literacy through sustainability education.

Campus Wide Bike Sweep Week!

Beginning on May 3rd the Office of Public Safety and Emergency Management will be conducting a sweep of the campus for the purpose of removing bicycles and bicycle parts that are abandoned and/or locked to anything other than a bicycle rack.  The sweep is being conducted to improve campus safety, maximizes the availability of bike parking resources and improve the beauty of our campus environment.

Law enforcement agencies continue to search for a suspect from a trespassing incident that took place on Tuesday, April 18, on property across Rt. 96B from the Ithaca College campus. While he has not been seen on campus and there is no known threat to the college community, authorities believe he may still be in the Ithaca area. Two weapons that were earlier believed to have been carried by the suspect have been recovered by authorities.
