On Thursday, March 23rd at 9:00 AM in Klingenstein Lounge, join us for a conversation about the barriers and potential solutions to how women can lead innovation in edtech.  This session will provide a forum for all participants to engage in a meaningful conversation about ways women are leading, and why it is important for their voice to be a part of the conversation and ways women’s ideas can be heard no matter where in the organization they are. The conversation will highlight the unique contributions and perspectives women’s innovations contribute to edtech and the barriers they often confront, fostering a deeper appreciation about why inclusivity is vital to education technology. The goals of the session include developing strategies for understanding the value of women leading in IT, overcoming gender barriers women may experience in higher ed and IT, supporting women in advancing in IT, enhancing the support of women in leadership roles, and empowering women, junior and senior, in IT.

Zoom is an online web conferencing tool available to all students, faculty, and staff that can be used on any device. It's great for collaboration, screen sharing, teaching remotely, and more. In addition to some custom Webinars for IC done by Zoom Staff, DIIS is offering some hands-on in person workshops in the TLC, Friends 101.

 Zoom: Intermediate topics (WEBINAR)

This custom webinar by Zoom staff will review some of the basic features but go into more detail on scheduling webinars, breakout rooms, polling and using in Sakai.  Join from any device anywhere.

DIIS is excited to unveil apps.ithaca.edu (beta), a preview version of a new centralized hub for providing quick and easy access to most web-based applications used across campus, including Office365 (email, calendar), Sakai, HomerConnect, Parnassus, and many others.  In the coming months we will be evolving the apps.ithaca.edu site to provide more seamless access to many of these services.
