Unsure how to help a student in distress?Contributed by Michelle Lang on 10/19/16 The Educational Affairs Staff Development Committee presents “Referring a Student in Distress”, October 25th at 12:10 pm in Taughannock Falls Campus Center. The Ithaca College Awareness, Response and Education (ICARE) is a referral process which deals with concerns regarding the well-being of individual students and the safety of the campus community. Case Manager, Christina McMahon of Students Affairs/Campus Life will present information about the steps that take place after a report is filed. Representatives from other campus offices will also explain how they support and assist our students during the referral process. Please join us on Tuesday, October 25th at 12:10 pm – 1:05 pm in the Taughannock Falls Campus Center. Feel free to bring your lunch, light refreshments will be provided. Help fight world hunger at the 10th Annual Walk for Plumpy’Nut!Contributed by Theresa Johnson on 10/19/16 IC’s Food For Thought will be hosting its 10th Annual Walk for Plumpy’Nut on Sunday, October 23rd from 12:00pm – 2:00pm in Cass Park! Food For Thought is an organization dedicated to serving children around the world who are denied access adequate food and proper nutrition. All proceeds from the walk will go towards providing malnourished children in Ethiopia with Plumpy’Nut, a therapeutic, nutrient rich peanut paste. The Walk for Plumpy’Nut will feature a tie-dye station, free snacks, music and entertainment, and raffles for great prizes! Food For Thought will be selling tickets in campus center from Monday, October 17th, until Thursday, October 20th. Tickets are $10, or $7 for a group of 5 or more. Don’t miss out on your chance to get involved in this great cause! Solving world hunger is just a walk in the park!
