On behalf of everyone who has worked closely with Dr. Tanya Saunders in her nearly thirty-year tenure at Ithaca College, the Office of International Programs and Extended Studies is honored to celebrate Dr. Saunders’ distinguished career and the announcement of her retirement. 

Dr. Saunders arrived at Ithaca College in 1991 as Director of International Programs. Before IC, she hailed from Florida International University’s Center for Multilingual and Multicultural Studies.

Chris Hummel, Clinical Professor, and Michael Matheny, Clinical Professor/Head Athletic Trainer gave a presentation entitled, Strategies for Updating Your Concussion Management Plan, to over 280 athletic trainers and other healthcare professionals.  The presentation outlined how new evidence and guidelines should be incorporated into existing concussion management plans and how to navigate the ever-evolving world of sport-related concussion.  The New York State Athletic Trainers Association (NYSATA) hosted this free virtual conference on June 24th. 

 

Maureen Forrest retires

 Maureen Forrest, Administrative Assistant in the Speech-Language Pathology Department in the School of Health Sciences and Human Performance, will be retiring at the end of June. Maureen has been with IC for 28 years.

Curbside Pickup at the Library!

The Ithaca College Library will begin offering contactless curbside pickup on Monday, June 29. The pickup service will be offered by appointment during the afternoon, Monday - Friday. You may request your materials through Library Search by using the Request link inside a record; you must be signed in in order to make a request. Once your materials hit our hold shelf, you will receive a message with a link to schedule your pickup. We are looking forward to seeing you -- from a distance!
