(158 words) Mailing Window Envelopes- Are you Meeting USPS Regulations?Contributed by Karen Serbonich on 07/06/16 Departments using window envelopes should design inserts and address element placement to ensure successful processing of window envelopes on automated equipment. One critical element that must be considered in the design stage is adequate clear space (blank space) between the address block and all four edges of the window. The mailpiece should be designed so that when it is inserted into the window envelope the address block will appear in the window no matter how it is shifted or moved within the envelope. (165 words) Voice Mail System Outage, Thursday, July 7th, 5:00-8:00 PMContributed by Karen Compton on 07/03/16 On Thursday, July 7th between 5:00 and 8:00 PM there will be an outage of the campus voice mail system due to maintenance. This will not impact telephone dial tone and general telephone use. The campus Emergency Notification System will continue to function during the voice mail maintenance. Any callers who would reach the voice mail system during this period will receive a recording stating maintenance is ongoing and to call back after 8:00 PM. During the voice mail outage, if you need to report a technology-related emergency affecting a substantial number of computer or telephone system users, please call our emergency paging number at 607-216-8599 and listen for further instructions. Nolan Jr. ’77, Parent ’01, chair of the Presidential Search Committee It has now been just over three weeks since the search for Ithaca College’s next president officially went “live” with the publication and distribution of the position prospectus. We are now in full gear. Our search consultants are compiling profiles and beginning to contact candidates, and we are working with them to ensure the qualities of our candidates are consistent with our needs as an institution.
