This event featured a series of speeches and performances all with the purpose of dispelling stereotypes about individuals of Caribbean heritage. This event aligned perfectly with CSA’s mission, which is to “educate themselves and others within and out of the Ithaca College community about the social, political, and fiscal issues of the Caribbean.” Congratulations to CSA for hosting such an impactful event for both the amazing performers and all the excited attendees in the audience. Last Friday, the IC International Club hosted Interfashional Night, an annual fashion show showcasing clothing from all around the world. Both international and American students got the chance to walk the runway wearing traditional clothing from many different cultures. This year’s theme was “Now Boarding,” which served as a reference to boarding a plane to travel to a new destination and represented the truly cross-cultural nature of this event. The event also included live entertainment and refreshments, which made for an exciting night! For more on IC International Club and other student organizations please click here.
