Paving a Way for LGBTQ Inclusion in Sports.
Cornell Athlete Ally is proud to announce that Megan Rapinoe, a professional women's soccer player will be coming to speak at Cornell. She is an Olympic Gold Medalist and Women's World Cup Champion as well as a member of the US Women's National Soccer Team. She will be speaking at Cornell about LGBTQ inclusion in professional sports and gender equality in athletics. The event is free and open to the public. FLEFF: Health Landscapes - 42615 - HLTH 39902 – 01 “Landscape” was first used in reference to 17th century Dutch painting, then migrated to lived observations and experiences. Landscapes shape culture, character, community and health.  Health landscapes: hospitals, waste treatment plants, waiting rooms, climate chaos, arteries and veins, neighborhoods, poverty, bodies.  This course is part of the Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival. We will pursue films, readings, and discussions about health landscapes in this course. Block II MW 4:00 pm - 5:15 pm

The Search Committee for the Vice President of Enrollment Management is pleased to provide the campus with an update on our progress. The application deadline closed this past Friday, March 4, 2016. The committee now shifts its focus to reviewing the resumes, and determining the candidates who will move forward in the process.

Our goal is to conduct interviews with candidates within the next several weeks, with the finalists being brought to campus in the month of April. We will be updating the campus community at each stage of the process, especially to ensure that there is adequate communication around the on campus visits of the finalists.

   Join IC Books Thru Bars for Molly Crabapple’s short film, followed by a workshop on solitary confident in NY and how to get involved in the movement to end this torture. Solitary confinement is a form of imprisonment in which an inmate is isolated from any human contact, though often with the exception of members of prison staff. It is sometimes employed as a form of punishment beyond incarceration for a prisoner and has been cited as an additional measure of protection for the inmate. The event is at 8:30pm on Tuesday, March 08 in Friends 207.
