All faculty planning to conduct research or classroom activity involving any kind of nucleic acids or any potentially bio-hazardous material, including pathogens, biological toxins, or human cells, tissues, organs or fluids must obtain prior approval from the Institutional Biosafety Committee before undertaking that activity. This committee provides federally-mandated oversight of activities that present risk of infection or illness in humans.

Want to explore current debates about racial, social, and economic injustice?

Want to explore the historical institutional legacies of black political regimes?

These questions, among others, will be explored in this NEW SEMINAR:

This NEW seminar explores the main ideas/thinking and material substance of politics among black Americans and the relation of black politics to the broader American political order. This course has two objectives. First, we will explore the thrust and logic of the strategic political discourse of black Americans in the late 19th century and through the early 21st century.

The Residence Hall Snow Plowing Plan has been established to increase campus safety, increase the thoroughness of plowing efforts and reduce the time it takes to plow in parking lots generally used by residence hall students.

What is campus climate?  Dr. Susan Rankin of Rankin and Associates Consulting, is serving as the outside consultant for Ithaca College’s climate survey.  Dr. Rankin defines campus climate as, “the current attitudes, behaviors, standards and practices of employees and students of an institution.”  The climate is often shaped through person experiences, perceptions and institutional efforts.

With a winter storm impacting the region over the next few days, the College will extend the add/drop period for the spring semester by one day, to midnight on Monday, February 1.

The extension will provide students who arrive on campus after classes have begun, especially those who are registered for a Mondays-only class, with an additional day in which to make changes to their spring class schedules.

The Spring 2016 Student Organization Fair is Wednesday, February 3, 2016 from 10am-3pm in Campus Center Quad. There will be over 150 student organizations promoting events, recruiting members, and showcasing their student organization. The student organization is free to attend. Take this opportunity to network with student leaders, find your passion and sign up for so many amazing student organizations.
