Please note: In order to get into the LCEC, you must go to the 2nd floor of Job and, at at the top of the stairs, turn left and go through the double glass doors. The room will be to your left once you go through the glass doors. If the LCEC door is shut, please knock!

TVR 46000-61 Senior Media Seminar, a 3-credit online course examining the representation of youth in American culture and the role of media in their lives (film, TV, social media, etc.), will be offered as an online two-week course this winter (January 11-22, 2016).

Bring your passion for languages to our community partnership with McGraw House,  a community for active senior living located downtown.

You will prepare basic lessons in French or Spanish conversation and culture and teach residents of McGraw House. The lessons will take place once a week for approximately eight weeks. We’ll begin meeting early next semester and teach our first lesson during Week 4.

No Pressure Blood Pressure is back!
The next No Pressure Blood Pressure will be held on Wednesday, December 9th.

Body: 67 million people have high blood pressure in America

What we already knew:

·         Risk of CVD (Cardio Vascular Disease) doubles for each incremental increase in SBP of 20 mmHg or DBP of 10 mmHg.
·         Aerobic exercise training leads to reduction in resting BP of 5-7 mmHg in those with hypertension.
