Chef Liliia Shkileva is an Executive Chef at State Moscow University and will cook on Ithaca College's Campus on Monday, October 19th and Tuesday, October 20th! During her visit, Chef Shkileva will prepare classic dishes from Russia and will provide active demonstrations of meal preparation for guests.  This will provide ample opportunity to interact with Chef Shkileva and experience firsthand the cultural and educational benefits of her visit.

Ithaca College's football and women's soccer teams are home Saturday as part of Community Appreciation Day. Football hosts Brockport and women's soccer hosts St. John Fisher, with both games starting at 1 p.m. There will be raffles and prize giveaways at both games.

This highly interactive workshop offers both a framework and practical tips for leveraging the power of diverse teams, optimizing innovation, and strengthening organizational decision-making. It invites participants to become intentional and strategic about this work. Designed for supervisors who lead diverse teams and faculty members who want to leverage diversity to enhance classroom learning or to strengthen students’ readiness to embrace diversity in community settings. Open to all interested in the topics covered.

The Cancer Resource Center of the Finger Lakes in Ithaca, NY is hosting  a 5k and Walkathon on October 24 in Cass Park and they need your help student organizations!

Get your student organization together, create a team and help raise money to support local people who are diagnosed with Cancer.

Registration is $30 until 10/22. T-shirts are an additional $15.

This event raises almost half of our annual operating budget, so although there is no fundraising requirement, it Is strongly encouraged.

We currently planning for critical software upgrades in ITS-managed computer labs for the Spring 2016. If you need specific software installed or upgraded to support instruction, please notify Olivia Boyle (oboyle1@ithaca.edu) and Brian Brashear (bbrashear@ithaca.edu) no later than Monday, November 16, 2015.

Please provide the following:

  • Software name and version
  • What lab(s) you need the software installed (building and room)
  • Installer CD's if appropriate
  • Licensing information if appropriate

 After a screening of the Cuban film Conducta for Ithaca's Cine con Cultura Film Festival, Dr. Enrique Gonzalez-Conty, Modern Languages and Literatures, presented on contemporary Cuban cinema and life. Dr. Gonzalez-Conty's is an expert on Latin American cinema. His  current book project examines the close relationship between post-revolutionary Cuban Literature and Film and their ties to important Cuban state institutions such as Casa de las Américas and the Cuban Film Institute (ICAIC).
