For the second year in a row, the women’s swimming and diving team will be offering Fall Swim Lessons! This is a great opportunity to ease out of summer in the pool and refine your newly found skills before next summer! We invite all different ages and skill abilities to participate. A member of the team will teach participants in either a private lesson or in a group of two. Each session is 45 minutes long and will go from 10:30-11:15 am.

Award Winning Artists

Movement Installation Artists,  Gerard and Kelly, to present workshops and talk at Ithaca College.

September 15, 16, 17, 2015

Bessie Award winning artists, Brennan Gerard and Ryan Kelly, known for their movement installations at major museums in NYC and Los Angeles will be in residence at Ithaca College September 15-17, 2015. The duo will be sharing their work, Reusable Parts/Endless Love, with Ithaca College dance students, and giving a public talk about their collaborations and the recent acquisition of one of their pieces by the Guggenheim Museum.

The public talk at Ithaca College will be Weds. 9/16 @ 4 pm Dillingham studio 3 (free and open to the public)  In addition, there will be an informal showing of the workshop material on Thurs. 9/17 @ 3pm Dillingham studio 3

Sean Eversley Bradwell, CSCRE, and Belisa Gonzalez, CSCRE, presented their co-authored paper "Talking Ourselves into Change: Assessing the impact of a dialogue-based approach to ending systemic racism," at the annual meeting of the Society for the Study of Social Problems in Chicago, IL. This paper used findings from their three-year grant funded assessment of the Multicultural Resource Center's Talking Circles on Race and Racism, to discuss the relationship between talking and ending systemic racism.

Our Dinner will take place on Sunday, September 13th, at 7:00pm at Emerson Suites.

Dress to impress. Professional Photographer will be taking pictures, if you are interested.

Each member of your group should fill out an individual RSVP.
The cost for the dinner is $10.

You can pay at the door with cash or check, or you can bring money to Coffee@Pub on Thursdays from 3-5pm.

When you RSVP you confirm that you will be attending this event, and we should order a meal for you.

All food will be catered by Kosher Dining. Gluten free, dairy free and vegetarian options will be available.

RSVPs will close on Friday, September 11th, so please tell your friends to sign up before then.

A test of the Ithaca College Emergency Notification System (ENS) will take place during the noon hour on Thursday, Sept. 10. It will include a test of the Outdoor Warning System, which features a siren tone and loudspeaker message. There is no need to take any action in response to the tests.

Over the past year, increased and necessary attention has been given nationwide to long-standing patterns of unfair treatment based on race and privilege.  The Ithaca College campus is not immune to these patterns. We must continue to have important conversations about how we treat each other so that we more closely reflect the community we want to be. This is an issue that Ithaca College can’t and won’t ignore.
