I am pleased to share with the campus community that based on a successful semi-finalist interview process, in late April the search committee recommended four strong finalists for vice president for finance and administration to the president. All four finalists had the opportunity to meet in person and in virtual formats with the president and the search committee. They also met with a large number of campus stakeholders, including members of the Senior Leadership Team, the Division of Finance and Administration, and the Institutional Effectiveness and Budget Committee (IEBC); the Executive Committees of the Faculty Council, Staff Council, and Student Governance Council; and other leaders across the college.

Dear Community,

We have finally reached the finish line of what has truly been an extraordinary academic year in the history of Ithaca College. There is so much we have learned from the challenges of this past year, perhaps most importantly the incredible feats we can accomplish when we all work together. Throughout this time, each and every one of us has stepped up in their own way to help us collectively navigate through the unprecedented impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. At the forefront of this monumental effort has been the steadfast leadership and dedication of Christina Moylan.

Campus Community Members:

I am pleased to provide the campus community with a list of some of the more significant initiatives and projects that the Facilities Department will be executing this summer.  Our goal, as always, is to provide stellar service. Accordingly, we have a focused project agenda during the summer months so that the academic year instructional program and all services in support of and related thereto are not impacted. Although there will be fewer members of the campus community in-person this summer, I thank you in advance for pardoning the occasional noise, dust and temporary closures of particular walkways, parking lots and building entrances – these are unfortunate, but necessary byproducts of the activities we are pursuing as we work to improve your campus.

On behalf of Ithaca College’s valued Facilities employees, I thank you in advance for your patience and support; I also offer you best wishes for an enjoyable summer season.

Dr. Timothy Carey
Associate Vice President
Office of Facilities
