Established through contributions from staff, faculty, and friends of James J. Whalen, Ithaca College’s 6th president, in honor of his 22 years of service to the College. This award is granted to eligible staff members in a degree program at Ithaca College. The money can be used to pay for books and defray other educational costs. Candidates for the J.J. Staff Scholar Award must be full-time staff members of the College; matriculated in a degree program; have completed at least 60 credit hours toward an undergraduate degree, or pursuing a graduate-level degree, with a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. Ithaca College is open on Tuesday, Feb. 2, but classes will be held remotely only. No in-person classes or clinics. The health and well-being of our students is always the primary focus of Ithaca College Dining Services. We know that some of the protocols that have been put in place to help mitigate crowding and de-densify dining locations have resulted in extended wait times in certain situations, and we would like to work together with you to help improve your dining experience. First, we wanted to let you know that we will be opening Towers Marketplace a day earlier than originally planned, which should help ease the crunch just ahead of the first day of on-campus instruction. Our introduction of Grubhub this past year for pre-ordering at retail dining locations will also help reduce your time waiting in lines. Protocols such as the elimination of self-serve, and single entrances and exits, are necessary to ensure that guests are physically distanced while dining on campus. Read more . . .
