IC Project Sunshine & Active Minds give back to childrenContributed by Theresa Johnson on 02/19/15 On Thursday, February 12th, IC Project Sunshine teamed up with Active Minds to host a community service event in IC Square to spread positivity around Valentine's Day. The groups organized an event to make uplifting cards for children in healthcare facilities. The cards were completely blank on the outside and said "Sending You Sunshine!". The only rule of the game was that people were not allowed to add additional words to the cards, just creative illustrations to make a child's day a little bit brighter. Many people came out to color and have a relaxing night inside while supporting a great cause. As a result of the event, nearly 100 children will have cards to brighten up their stay in a health facility.
