Blankinger has rehabilitated back into the society after pledged guilty to heroin charge in December 2010 during her senior semester at Cornell University. IC Adoption Support and Awareness Alliance (ASAA) kicked off National Adoption Month by hosting event called Superheroes and Adoption. This event promoted discussion around many of famous superheroes who were adopted like Superman, Spiderman, Hercules and more. Congrats to ASAA on their successful event!

Two weeks ago, members of the Ithaca College community made more than 140 “Sunny Grams” at IC Project Sunshine’s first independent event. 

IC Project Sunshine is part of a national nonprofit organization that provides free education, recreational, and social programs to children facing medical challenges and their families. The local organization meets weekly to knit and crochet frequently requested items, such as hats, blankets, and booties, which are sent to the national organization and are then distributed to pediatric medical facilities.

ASB is a week-long, service immersion program held in March that gives students the chance to gain personal and professional growth through direct volunteer experience and place-based learning. Participants are be selected to join one of the five trip locations on the east coast during spring break.
