(127 words) Important Information Regarding Coverage for Dependents Age 19 to 25Contributed by Julie Tinkham on 08/08/14 If you have a dependent between the ages of 19 and 25 who recently graduated from college, its important that you update their full time student status with the Office of Human Resources, by completing the a dependent/contact update form. Dependents must be a FT student in order to be eligible for coverage under the dental, vision & hearing care, dependent life and AD&D coverage. If your dependent is no longer a FT student, and you do not notify us, you may be paying for coverage that is not in effect. The problem is related to Bradford network software, which is not automatically registering college computers on the network as it should be. The problem is affecting both Mac and Windows computers, in both campus offices and labs. Not all machines are affected. (77 words) Agnese, Martin, and Zabusky Participate in Summer 2014 HERS InstitutesContributed by Danette Johnson on 08/07/14 Christy Agnese, School Operations & External Relations Officer for the School of Music; Deborah Martin, Professor and Chair of Music Performance; and Stacia Zabusky, Associate Dean for Curriculum and Undergraduate Programs for the School of Humanities and Sciences were selected to take part in the Higher Education Resource Services (HERS) summer institutes. The HERS institutes focus on leadership development for women in higher education, providing sessions on topics such as budgeting, information technology, student success, and personal career development. Approximately 60 women higher education professionals from across the country are selected annually to participate in each of the three HERS programs. Agnese and Martin attended the HERS Denver Institute and Zabusky attended the HERS Bryn Mawr Institute. Agnese and Zabusky’s participation was supported by the Office of Human Resources and Martin’s participation was sponsored by the Office of the Provost.

Rader presented her infant language research using pupil diameter as a measure of attentionContributed by Judy Smith on 08/06/14 Nancy Rader presented her research on early word learning in a plenary session of an NSF-sponsored conference held at Uconn in June; her paper was titled, “A Speaker’s Orchestrating of Infant Attention through Show Gestures: Evidence from Pupil Dilation Measures.” She also presented her infant language research at the Association for Psychological Science conference in San Francisco in May and at the International Association for the Study of Child Language conference held in Amsterdam in July. Becca Post ’14, a co-author, presented a poster in July at the International Conference on Infant Studies in Berlin. New to Sakai? The worldwide success and stellar reputation of the Fulbright Scholars Program has been built on the talent, commitment and professionalism of scholars who have served as Fulbrighters at universities and research institutions in more than 155 countries. Fulbright Ambassadors serve as official representatives of the Fulbright Scholar program. The goal of Fulbright Ambassadors is to expand the outreach efforts of the Fulbright program to the higher education community across the United States.
