Please join me on Thursday, February 6th for the fourth Faculty Colloquium of the academic year. Dr. Alison B. Shields, Department of Marketing and Law, will be presenting “Brand Nostalgia and Consumer Responses to Changed Brands.” Professor Shields received her Ph.D. from Kent State in 2013. Her research interests include branding strategies; consumer brand relationships; consumer decision making; and consumption patterns over time. Her recent work on brand nostalgia establishes the connection between consumer acceptance or rejection of updated brands and the consumer’s reported nostalgia towards the brand. Read more . . . Senator Gillibrand was first sworn in as U.S. senator from New York in January 2009. Prior to her service in the Senate, she served in the U.S. House of Representatives, representing 10 counties in upstate New York's 20th congressional district.
