The Ithaca College Center for LGBT Education, Outreach & Services is proud to partner with Visual AIDS for Day With(out) Art 2020 by presenting TRANSMISSIONS, a program of six new videos considering the impact of HIV and AIDS beyond the United States. The video program brings together artists working across the world: Jorge Bordello (Mexico), Gevi Dimitrakopoulou (Greece), Las Indetectables (Chile), George Stanley Nsamba (Uganda), Lucía Egaña Rojas (Chile/Spain), and Charan Singh (India/UK).

TRANSMISSIONS will premiere on November 30 at 6 pm EST as part of a special online screening event hosted by Visual AIDS and supported by IC's LGBT Center. A live Q&A with the commissioned artists will follow the screening. Please RSVP here to receive updates about this event.

 The Economics department has added a new section of Principles of Macro - it is scheduled for MWF @ 10:00 am. The course will be taught by Professor Albert Alexander. Please go to Homer to register. 

Note: Originally there was a section at 8:00am but that was converted into this later section.

It is with sadness that I share the news of the passing of Connie Elson, who taught in the Math Department from 1971 through 1999.  She was instrumental in integrating the use of computer algebra systems into the teaching of mathematics at IC in the late 1980s.

In preparation for the return to campus in the spring, Information Technology staff are planning to visit offices across campus to power up computers. Since many machines have been unused since last March, powering them up now will apply all of the patches and updates to the Operating System and Microsoft products that have been released since then.

On November 21st, The Creative Talent Network invited Associate Professor, Chrissy Guest, to screen her short film The Women of Titmouse Animation, and preview the trailer for her upcoming docuseries, Beyond Ink & Paint: The Women of Animation. The panel was comprised of the women from both films and Guest.

The Public Health Task Force and the College Move-in Committee have been hard at work to ensure that we prioritize the health and safety of our entire community as we plan to welcome students back to Ithaca for the spring 2021 semester. In the past, we organize in the fall to greet students and their families, and help students move into the residence halls, but the bulk of students will be moving in this spring. There are unique situations requiring increased support to ensure safety and efficiency during this process.
