ITHACA, NY — By taking second place in the Collegiate Orchestras category, the Ithaca College Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Jeffery Meyer, is one of 24 American orchestras to be honored with a 2011–2012 ASCAP (American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers) Award for Adventurous Programming. ASCAP and the League of American Orchestras present the awards annually to orchestras of all sizes for programs that challenge the audience, build the repertoire and increase interest in music of our time.
IC Spirit Week is looking to fill our vacant Social Media Chair position. The role of the Social Media Chair is to strategically promoted Spirit Week and its associated events and organization, using social media sites such as, but not limited to, Facebook and Twitter. 
ITS is pleased to announce that the TLC is launching its Summer 2012 Sakai Training Schedule! Introductory training sessions on Sakai will be offered in the TLC, room 101 Friends Hall, on a regular basis starting Friday, June 29, and continuing into the fall semester. Sakai is the central course management system instructors and students use at Ithaca College. All instructors are encouraged to attend an introductory training session to become familiar with the rich collaboration and learning tools provided in the Sakai environment. The campaign to build the new backstop at Ithaca College's Freeman Field brought out the best in the Bomber family. This spring, players, spectators, students, and families had the chance to enjoy the improvements and have taken tremendous pride in these upgrades.
